We're looking for a graphic designer to create all in-world graphics and branding for a short film titled This Will Hurt

The tone is soft, sterile, and slightly uncanny — think low-budget spa meets emotional tech facility. The film is set in an ambiguous time and place, blending analog nostalgia with artificial care.

What we’re after:
– Branding and logo design for “The Comfort Zone” (the emotional care facility)
– In-world materials: menus, signage, forms, manuals, etc.
– Screen/interface graphics (optional but a plus)
– Prop graphics (labels, brochures, client cards)
– Worldbuilding and subtle satire through design

Aesthetic references:
Severance, Safe, Her, vintage therapy brochures, reflexology spas, early 2000s institutional graphics.

Looking for someone with a strong eye for tone, worldbuilding, and storytelling through design. Experience in film or narrative branding preferred.

Timeline: ASAP
Budget: Open to offers (ideally in the £500–£1,000 range depending on scope)

Please send your portfolio or relevant work to [email protected]
Thanks so much!

  • Hi Carina.

This sounds like such a great fit and I'm very much interested.
I specialise in illustration and visual storytelling, often blending playful, hand-drawn aesthetics with personal and culturally rooted narratives. My work spans a range of industries including publishing, editorial, cultural institutions, and exhibition design. I enjoy projects that allow me to tell meaningful stories—whether that’s building a visual identity for a socially engaged initiative, creating illustrations for books and campaigns, or designing immersive visual experiences. What excites me most is when thoughtful design meets emotional storytelling. Work that invites empathy, sparks curiosity, and leaves a lasting impression.
